Today we have presented the groups aloud.
Then, we have discussed about three important facts:

- Using less plastic when doing the shopping. 
- Excess of plastic bottles and plastic cups. 
- Air pollution in Madrid. 

Irene told to us that we had to choose only one that we consider relevant.
We chose excess of plastic bottles and plastic cups because we are worried about this. Also, we think that there is an overproduction of plastic. For example, in the supermarket they use a lot of plastic in bottles instead of using cardboard or glass which will be better for the environment. And nowadays, plastic is a material do not degrade easily and can take very long time for it. This is bad for the animals, as they can eat it and get hurt. In addition, over accumulation of plastic is stored normally in underdeveloped countries in which it affects the population.

Then, we have to agree among all the class, and choose only ONE topic. We have joined the two topics related to plastic, and we chose: reducing plastics. 

We have found solutions about this topics:

• Use metal straws
• Use Bambu toothbrushes
• Use bottles made of glass o cardboard
• Use paper bags or cloth bags
• Buy glass tuppers
• Use matches instead of lighters
• Cloth diapers 
• Buy in bulk
• Biodegradable chewing gum
• Use wooden utensils in the kitchen and wooden clothespins
• Wear menstrual cup

For next week, we have to bring a new about plastic consumption.

24-1-20 'SHAPING THE GROUP'

Today we have formed work groups. My group is formed by Sofía Villa, Gabriela Di Lodovico and me.
We have written down in a paper sheet our name group, that is Three girls, an image, that is three girls with jointed hands. Our catchphrase is ´we are better together´, because we think that if we are together all the things will be easier.

Then, we have assigned different roles of each member of the group.

So, according to the roles, Sofía is the secretary, Gabriela is the spokesperson, and I am facilitator and timekeeper. I am very happy with my group and also with my role. I will do it very good.

The second part of the class has been really interesting because we have seen a video about learning discovery. Also, Irene has told to us different things about design for change. How are we doing it? This question will be answered if we follow four steps: 1- feel, 2- imagine, 3- do, 4- share.
Then, we have made a list of problems that we can find close to us, in the city or the world. We have thought in groups and then we have put it in common.

FIRST DAY!

Today we have started the subject, and Irene has presented to us the main things. We have seen a very interesting video and I want to learn more.
I think that I will enjoy this subject too much, and I will learn many things. I like sciences but sometimes I do not understand all the contents. So, I hope it is not difficult.
